A few wines from last week’s 4th Friday event!
This was crazy unique. Can’t believe this is a 2018 Syrah from Australia. Make no mistake, this is more “Syrah” than it is “Shiraz”. As if you mixed a northern Rhône Syrah (think crozes-hermitage) with a Cru Beaujolais. Stemmy, carbonic, and very pure aromatically. The sub 12ABV is crazy. The palate shows some iron, sweet tar, black currant and peppercorn crusted rhubarb. Fun.

Smooth and elegant. Acidic w mineral and white pepper notes w just a touch of Brett. I imagine this is what Syrah tasted like 100 years ago. 😊🙏🍷
