Tasted blind. Deep purple color. Looks very young, compared to the 45 Margaux next to it. Almost opaque. Notes of black fruit, cracked walnuts, sweet fruit, raspberry and some cedar desk. Super rich in the mouth. Seems young and is firm, but tannins are softened and the mouthfeel is velvet touch. Long finish. It peacocks all night. The walnuts thing leads my guess to Latour, but can this be the 45? Is it a 61 or 82? Could be... I go with it being a 59 given how young it seems. Just an amazing bottle of wine, open for ~9 hours by the time we left, it seemed to effortlessly power along. Thanks Stan! — 4 years ago

The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. Deep Ruby with a berry fruit aromas blossom and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry & strawberry flavors, with leather, cacao and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine approachable tannins, long ending with spicy oak finish. — 6 years ago
Rough - in a good way. Very dry, short finish. A pepper, clove, dark chocolate and mature fruit. — 7 months ago
Classic Lafite. Hard to put into words. It was delicate yet still powerful. I’ve had the wine in my cellar since a year or so after release. We were stunned at how well it had aged…45?years old and still retained its fruit. It was worth the wait — 2 years ago
Dark ruby color. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Monastrell (45%) and Syrah (10%). Bright and ripe red fruit (currant, cherry, raspberry) aromas and flavors. Spicy long finish. Oak is noticeable but not overwhelming. Earthy texture. Tannins are there but not overpowering. Great Producer and QPR. Revisited in March 2025. Improving with age. — 4 years ago
Very stable. Never disappoint — 5 years ago

🍷 Personal Pick
This is pure driving joy, confident lines through the corners but relaxed enough to enjoy the scenery. Slightly juicy, deliciously drinkable, and dangerously charming, it’s the kind of bottle that disappears faster than expected while still leaving a serious impression. — 5 months ago
Blend of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier, medium gold color, fine bubbles and mousse, aromas of fresh stone fruits, warm biscuits and hints of floral. On the palate fresh fruit flavors of white peaches, pineapple, pear and baked apple with hints of citrus zest. Long elegant finish ending with rich yeasty mineral character and a touch of smoky oak. Blend of different types of Palomino (Palomino Fino, Palomino Jerez and Palomino Pelusón) from a single vineyard within the Pago de Carrascal, in Sanlúcar (not to be confused with the eponymous Carrascal in Jerez, further inland). Located to the south of Miraflores, this is one of the most Atlantic influenced Pagos in Sanlucar, and also one of the first to be replanted after phylloxera – with vines over 100+ years old. Elegant, mineral, saline — 3 years ago
Smooth and lightly effervescent after 45 min of opening. Enjoyable, very smooth — 4 years ago
Another trip around the sun, another “66 Bordeaux. This time it was the Cos d’Estournel. Clearly the best of the “66 vintage I have tasted over the last several years on my birthday. It started with salami and spice on the nose. Mid palate it morphed into this lovely soft earthy red fruit and finished with leather and spice. No hint of the typical Cos pencil lead. This wine still had depth and character. I was surprised by the richness and depth of color. It started to fade after about 45 minutes but wow, were those minutes an amazing wine experience. — 6 years ago
