Great summer sipper. Crisp, bright, tropical nose. Acidic mid palate, likely because of age. Finish was so interesting. Kept shifting and changing in a fantastic way. — 3 years ago
@Shay A inspired me to dig this out of the cellar. Turns out I had a bunch of the 2013, not the 2012. Read his review in concert with this. Bright and clear reddish purple in the glass. Similar to the 2012, this presented notes of bing cherry, plum and black tea but not any of the tobacco noted on the 2012. Good color with no oxidation whatsoever. Balanced acid and fruit on the palate. Little if any tannin. Finish was more cherry with a little herbal thing going on that I could not put my finger on . Overall very pleasant and can go for a few more years. — 3 years ago
Materized, but with time in the glass, if you like aged white burgundy, and can get past the nose, it is a fantastic white burg. It comes off as subtle, balanced, — 3 years ago
Holy shitnockers Batman. This was amazing! Decanted for about 1.5 hours. Big cab franc undertones. So balanced and soft in the mid palate. Finish went on and on and kept changing. Earthy, spicy, dark fruit. This might be one of the best blends I have had this year. — 3 years ago
Drink now . Raspberry and cherry nose. Not a ton going on mid plate. Slightly tart finish (think sweet tarts) with a bit of raspberry and cypress. Missing fruit. — 3 years ago
Let it decant for 2-3 hours. Took time to open up, but when it did it was great. Plumb and blackberry on the nose. Super smooth mid palate. Spice, a bit of earth and black fruit on the finish. Looking to acquire more of this. ;-) — 3 years ago
Best Chardonnay of the night. Reminded me of the Point Rouge from Peter Michael. So Smooth and put together. Finish was ever changing. — 3 years ago
As they said in the princess bride . . . Mostly dead, which is not completely dead. From my in laws cellar. Likely aged prematurely due to cellar cooling malfunctions over the years. Missing fruit, missing richness and balance. If beige had a taste, this would be it. Past it’s prime. — 3 years ago
This is a phenomenal Chardonnay. Super well balanced, great fruit, absolutely lovely. My wife told me to buy three more cases. That may be my new rating scale. ;-) — 4 years ago
