Stop the train...this one is a show stopper. — 6 years ago
Delicious wine with Pat’s grilled filet mignon ($24). Fruity and smooth finish. — 2 years ago
Cullen Mangan at 18 years - superbly delicious and reintegrated compared to where it was at 10 years old. The Malbec and Petit Verdot still seem to oxidize at different rates upon opening, but each stop on the train is interesting and delicious. At about an hour out it is scrumptious. Well crafted and worth laying down for a good long while — 4 years ago
First taste (just after opening the bottle) hit like a freight train.
When allowed to open up and breathe for a few minutes, great taste of leather, tobacco and oak. Went great with an entrecote and provence-flavoured potatoes! — 4 years ago
Red, resinous currant with a licorice twist. Warm blackberry, dark toast, vanilla, cedar and sweet tabac seamlessly tailored, even at such a young age. Fresh gingerbread oven, too. Silk suit of tannins; loose stitching. Wound tightly showing sinewy potential and a Christmas cactus of sutured fruits bursting at the seams with liquid graphite and black currant reduction with fresh cassis and olive berry. Violets, treacle and black tea. Onyx train of a witch bride all the way down Howell mountain! #Dunn #DunnVineyards #napacab #napacabernet #Napa #howellmountain #howell #howellmtn #mountainwine #cabernetacademy #cabernetday #cabernetsauvignon #californiaclassic — 6 years ago
