Delicious wine with Pat’s grilled filet mignon ($24). Fruity and smooth finish. — 4 years ago
Cullen Mangan at 18 years - superbly delicious and reintegrated compared to where it was at 10 years old. The Malbec and Petit Verdot still seem to oxidize at different rates upon opening, but each stop on the train is interesting and delicious. At about an hour out it is scrumptious. Well crafted and worth laying down for a good long while — 6 years ago

Sour get over it. Traminer train. — 10 years ago
This rosé is everywhere in Switzerland. I think it’s the 4th time I’ve had it. Got this bottle at the train station lol. Very concentrated. Strong acidity, strawberry and orange. Mouth watering finish with a touch of lavender and Provençal herbs. I can see why they like it so much here. Screams European summer (or après-ski on a sunny afternoon). Not fussy, but still elevated. — a year ago

Stop the train...this one is a show stopper. — 8 years ago

2017 vintage. Last tasted 01.27.25 (9.2). Good primer/introductory Barolo for those unfamiliar/scared. Some fruit. More structure but never too much as to force the villagers to flee. Excellent, crushable Barolo now (and for the next half-decade) and the price comes in on the weekday train vs the weekend edition. 05.14.25. — a year ago
From Tim’s. Very smooth rich cab. 22.5. Good daily wine — 5 years ago
First taste (just after opening the bottle) hit like a freight train.
When allowed to open up and breathe for a few minutes, great taste of leather, tobacco and oak. Went great with an entrecote and provence-flavoured potatoes! — 6 years ago
After weeks of landscaping, Spring cleaning and house guests for the last three weekends, Sofia and I finally have a weekend to kick it in the backyard. Watch the games, BBQ & sip some wine. Further, Sofia is back on the BSR train. Ahhhh...couldn’t be happier if I were twins. My go to N/V Rosé Champagne. Love it.
The pink rose petals are incredible. The acidity spot on. Lean fruits of; strawberries, cherries, tangerine, watermelon near the rhine, some yeast, baguette crust, sea spray, soft chalkiness with an edge, touch of gritty minerals, sea spray and a beautiful rich finish. From 375ml. — 8 years ago

Blackberry and meaty aroma. Blackberry fruit flavors initially gives way to a lot of mushroom and barnyard flavors. Medium-bodied, with a strong backbone that provides a mouth-puckering finish. Thinner than the '12, with more funk, less meat. Different; no less enjoyable. One of the best values, if not one of the best overall wines, out there for under $20. Buy a ticket and get on this train. — 10 years ago

Not for the faint of heart at 113 proof. This one gets an ice cube. Dusty and earthy, dried apricot, camphor, and big oak. Toffee on the finish.
