Chardonnay and Savagnin from Magog in Québec. Crisp, bone dry; sandy beach and light crisp fruit. Low intervention approach. Would never guess new world on this. — 7 years ago
Cru Chablis in disguise. Wicked matchstick minerality and golden fruits. Textured and round with acidic backbone. — 7 years ago
Crunchy red fruit, cherry/cranberry, ethereal lift, rusty metal and black earth. Such a pleasure. — 7 years ago
One of the most underrated producers in Burgundy. Drink everything you can find by him. Lovely balance between richness and mineral structure here. — 7 years ago
This wine is 100% Slarina, not Barbera. Slarina is an ancient varietal that was grown in Monferato but then dropped out of style because of how finicky it is to grow. At 10.5% this wine blew me away. Carried its terroir with grace, undeniably a Piedmontese wine but with incredible drink ability. Bright acidity that plays with the late gripping tannins create perfect tension on the palate and the nose transformed elegantly like any good Nebbiolo. A gem I would have never found without the team at Elena in Montreal and Ryan Gray, Owner/wine director there. — 7 years ago
Compelling af. Botrytized notes and mineral character abound. Finishes dry. 👌🏼 — 7 years ago
Unmistakably La Stoppa in style. Integrated grip, drinking so well. Pleasure and complexity but no surprises with time/air. What’s there is there and it’s delicious. — 7 years ago
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Alligoté. 2014 Vintage. Exceptionally good bubbles. This over most champagnes. — 7 years ago
Quaffable, easy, well made adult juice, with enough character to stay interested. — 7 years ago

Smoky white fruit and saline notes maybe even sea breeze. Delicious and verging on briney. Feel like 3-5 years and this would settle in. I feel like it had more to show but did not get there. — 7 years ago
