The 2021 Pietranera (80% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet) is spiced with a bouquet of dusty rose, sage and cherry. It’s soft, round and juicy to the core, with stimulating acids that propel its wild berry fruits. The 2021 finishes fresh with potent raspberry and licorice. It's an unparalleled value. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, October 2022) — 2 years ago
Better than a white wine this old should be, thanks to Peter Wellington and his unparalleled skill with Rhône style wines, both red and white. — 7 months ago
Now we are talking. This wine is absurd. Nose is so pretty. Floral, meaty, granite, so fine. So fragrant and refined. Just crazy. So deep but so subtle and restrained. Amazing minerality. Wow the palate is so elegant and in like with 18 with tremendous structure but it’s so silken and the fruit is so pure it’s seamless. This is the best Cote Rotie I’ve had from George. Wow. Just a stunner. So young but the level of refinement is unparalleled. — 2 years ago
The new, top cuvee at Ziereisen. Sickness. Nose has the purest flowers, most vivid fruit I’ve ever smelled in a Ziereisen. It’s just surreal. Epic limestone but also a sauvage meatiness. This is like Chambertin.
Wow this is elegant. Silken Pinot. Wow, what texture, finesse and elegance. Incredible sap and concentration but never heavy. Wow this is long. Insane freshness. It’s obviously young but this is truly special. The fruit and energy of this wine is unparalleled. This is a gift Hanspeter has given to the wine world. Out of this world. Will follow it. 9.8 for now. Finish is minutes. Fruit is really red and so focused. Like it’s in 5D! I need to let this breathe as I know it will get crazier. Best red I’ve ever had from Ziereisen.
Ok we are 9.8 to 9.9 now. This is scary good. The finish is endless. The nose is full blown confectionary. This is maybe the best German Pinot I’ve ever had. The finesse is just beyond anything. The weightlessness. — 3 years ago

The 2017 'Evenstad Reserve' Chardonnay follows an exceedingly long line of beautiful releases, as the consistency of this wine is unparalleled in Oregon. The wine is a barrel selection sourced from a host of great Dundee Hills AVA vineyards. On the nose this takes on gorgeous aromatics of toasty lemon infused brioche with peat moss and lighter cantaloupe tones that all collide in the glass. The exceptional texture entices and adds to the drinking enjoyment. Ripe pear, apricot, lemon oil and shades of Challah bread with wet stone all collect momentum on this distinguished palate. While gorgeous in its youth, this stunning wine will cellar well for a decade or more. Drink 2020-2032- 95 — 4 years ago

Lemberger. Blaufrankisch! What a nose. In your face with cola aromas, red cherry, root beer, huge anise and serious boysenberry. Gorgeous earth under and superb red fruits. Palate is OMG juicy with unreal fruit that is so juicy and so lively. My god the fruit is so yummy and the energy here is unparalleled. Wow. Blackberry galore and just insane little tiny berry intensity. Unreal concentration and freshness. So good. The ultimate hedonistic wine? Maybe! Unreal energy and freshness and finishes with just sicko mineral and blackberry flower. Wow! — 7 months ago
