A punchy nose with struck match, honeyed lime. Stone and flint. Rick and great acidity subtly laced throughout. Excellent — 5 months ago
Complex flavors of chamomile, melon, white stone fruits with skin contact structure, dry and crisp — a month ago
Favorite bottle of Saxom I’ve tried. Lovely ripe fruit, balance medium body, lingering finish. — a month ago
This has aged well, would hold it’s own with a 1er Burg. Fruit is there but dry and tart, spicy and earthy. Wish I had more. — 4 months ago
Founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley, with caves that extend for over a mile. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruit, sweet oak, spice and floral scents. On the palate flavors of ripe peach, melon and apple, with vanilla spice, creamy texture. Medium+ finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with mineral notes. — 12 days ago
First night open: 20 year old vintage— chocolate on the nose with a stone fruit finish. Tasted clean and complex with an almost immediate light evaporation in your mouth leaving you with the feeling of bubbles dissolving. Delicious. — 4 months ago

This is the winery’s only bottling for which the fruits are sourced, yet it’s still really well made.
Fragrant and lithe, this is quite feminine. Deft use of oak. Tremendously enjoyable just like the previous vintages I’ve tasted. — 12 days ago
