Raveneau Clos 2012 is a special wine that’s just entering its drinking window. Incredible power and concentration with riveting energy and intensity. Everything is dialed up to 10. Its aromas are captivating and its already complex and layered palate offer so much joy revealing the infinite depth of stone fruit, an oyster shell minerality and a sea breeze salinity which lead to finish that seems to go on forever. Grateful to have snagged the last bottle off the restaurant list of our wonderful hotel, Les Avizes.

Intense. Surprisingly rich and broad. A punch of rock pool then deep sweet fruit. Intense, mineral and long. Atypical raveneau as it’s a bit of a monster but Awesome quality, depth and length. I guess why Clos is the thing.

Unctuous and electric. Stunning citrus, lees, and stone fruit. Creamy yet briny. Oysters.
