2023 vintage. Mineral and floral aroma on the nose, crisp citrus (apricot and pear) on the palate with a subtle oak and yeast flavor. Light yellow in color, not as golden as some Napa Chardonnays. Decent finish with medium acidity. Great find for under $40. — 11 days ago

2023 vintage. Perfect Anderson Valley Pinot. Light ruby red, decent floral aroma once it opened up; vanilla, cherry, and a hint of spice on the nose and palate. Light to medium body in structure, very smooth finish. Enjoyed with an 8 oz filet. Not bad for under $35. — 20 days ago

2024 vintage. First Picpoul Blanc to date I’m ashamed to say, but was not disappointed. Pale yellow in color, decent floral aromas not too dissimilar from a Sauvignon Blanc, but a drastic difference in the taste; crisp apple and pear on the palate but less of that classic flinty mineral finish. Decent acidity, lightly structured. This would’ve paired nicely with some local Chesapeake crab cakes. — a month ago

Round two for this crisp North Carolina red blend. Tucked into the hills of Morganton, North Carolina, the family owned vineyard of Silver Fork does not disappoint and hasn’t since my first trip in 2013. The nonsense blend, encompasses Merlot, Cab Franc, and Petit Verdot. Cherry, plum, licorice, and spice on the nose, medium to full bodied feel, smooth fruit forward taste, backed heavily by the strong Petit Verdot kick, which complements the Cab Franc and Merlot quite nicely. Great bottle for $30. Would enjoy again. — 23 days ago

2021 vintage. Cherry and blackberry on the palate, decent nose and a smooth finish. Definitely a different feel and taste for a Willamette Valley Pinot, more subtle earthy tones than most other Pinots from this region, but delicious nonetheless.
