Medium plus Ruby in colour - when swirled a tawny note shows. Dusty berry derived aromas - cassis/blackcurrant on the medium weight palate; cedar/cigar box with a touch of capsicum. A very good mature left bank Bordeaux from an excellent vintage. I had a bottle of this 3 years ago and received some commentary from other Delectable users that I was drinking this too early. It does have a longer life than I said 3 years ago but I am more than happy to drink it now. As LM Segal said about this wine on Delectable, “If you’ve got em drink em”. As always with Lynch Bages it deserves a higher rating than 5th Growth - but in summary not overly complex. — a year ago

This wine from Galilee offers up some nice Chardonnay notes - Meyer lemon, orange peel, wet rocks, oak spice. The palate follows suit. The oak is not overdone, it is a welcome part of the flavor profile. The acidity is fresh, but not zippy. — 4 years ago

@LM Segal has been pushing this, knowing my weaknesses. Big fruity fruity blackberries and tobacco on the nose...rich, silky tannins and a deceptively long finish. A rare wine that can satisfy both the palates of connaisseurs and a crowd — 6 years ago

I’m guessing that this wine was given some sort of oak treatment, as the color is quite golden and the nose shows some oaky notes. There is also a strong sense of mango and other tropical fruits on the nose, along with an almond nuttiness. The smell puts me in mind of a cross between an old-style California Chardonnay and a Roussanne. The palate shows a lot of savory salinity, a somewhat subdued acidity and a rather full, oily mouthfeel. It’s a fairly complex wine, and a delicious one, too. — 2 years ago

Purple in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose of red and black fruits and light wood, spices, coffee and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, black currants, spices, light oak, licorice, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and light vegetables.

Tangy and spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 6 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from the Judean Hills region in Israel is drinking very nicely now.

Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Spicy and entertaining.

Right out of the bottle, it doesn't drink like a Cabernet Sauvignon at all. Needed 45 minutes to open up properly and show itself, so be patient.

I had it 3 years ago and decided to give it a few more years in the bottle to mature. It is so much better now. Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

Good by itself or with food.

Fermented with wild yeast, and aged in French Oak barrels for a year. Kosher and non Mevushal.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Beautiful straw yellow color with ripe honey crisp apples, maybe even a bit of apple pie? Some malo, perhaps?

Tastes of dried fig with a nice saline punch. Stays around for awhile so no need to pound it back. Really good and fun selection from Galilee. — 3 years ago
