Side by side 2009 Volnay Clos des Chene. Interesting test. The Lafarge was rounder and softer and very typical Volnay. Elegant. Claudine’s wine had a few more angles and edges but also terrific. Will do this again in 10 years. I loved both wines. — 4 years ago
Very soft and supple and smooth. Velvety. BUT, a little heavy on the Oak button for me. Curious to know how much new oak he used... still, I LOVE caillerets. — 4 years ago
2005. Opened with a strongly aged nose and felt a little beyond it years on first approach but after a few hrs in the decanter it balanced out and showed us some velvet and silk. Thank you Mounir! — 4 years ago
After cooking most of the day, this was calling. One of my favorite Barolo producers. Double decanted. It was everything it’s cracked up to be. Elegant. Complex. Easy and suggestive. Just a pleasure. — 4 years ago
On this most rare of Xmas Eves we also drink a rarity. This was nothing short of spectacular. In amazing condition for 35 years. Cork exploded but the juice was perfect. Just showing well aged wine just plain delivers. — 4 years ago
2002 burg is so good right now. If only I had been buying them back then. Sigh..... — 4 years ago
Drop dead gorgeous. Paired with my amazing wife’s amazing Coq au Vin after a snowy ski day. What could be better? — 4 years ago

I have been a devoted contributor to Delectable for many years. When you added “premium” I immediately signed up. But for the last year the app has been buggy and glitchy and I still see ads and it still tells me I need to “sign up” for premium service. I can’t edit my profile, and more. It’s too bad, because I’ve enjoyed the app so much .... — 4 years ago
This was terrific. And it is getting better. Soft and expressive. I love this vineyard. 18 yrs and has a lot of life left. — 4 years ago

Just terrific! I hesitate to post how good these wines are because they are still reasonably priced for what they deliver. But I can’t help but praise them. Bravo. — 4 years ago
