My wife, who does not frequently drink wine, said this wine is life changing. This is absolutely worth the money. I rarely say that. Absolutely brilliant California cab

Wonder, bold Napa cab. Paired incredible with medium rare steak. This was actually a gift and I believe the giver said it had been aging in his cellar for 7 years.

Hasn't reached full firepower but just an amazing wine.

Very different from '05 Howell Mountain. Initially found something central coast about it. Over time opened up to leather (as Alicia points out), dark fruit, tar, vanilla extract. Nose is more subtle than we expected or desire. Mouthfeel is gorgeous though - velvety tannins. Finish is very pleasant but could be bigger. Over time this has become less napa cab and almost aged pomerol-like.
