Black as the night in the glass. A clone of the 19 vintage, only more sexy and voluptuous. Round, curvaceous and supple on the palate. Presents cocoa and a hint of barrel toast. So opulent and pure. Tannins are awesome and the acidity is bright. More brilliance from Jason Moore…

This is a new vineyard designation for us, and we are not in raptures with it.
Lacks the typical Kistler depth and complexity that we have come to expect.
I hope we don’t have more of this lurking around. — 11 days ago
My research shows this varietal has German origins, and it shows since it displays hints of a Riesling. Tilts sweet with a nice playful sweetness. Primarily citrus fruits on the front palate, with hints of sherbet on the rear. Nice acidity has served to protect this from decline. Could go another 3 years at a push. — 12 days ago
Our last bottle. Very little left on the market at this point.
Beginning to show its age, so consume these now. Cherries and brown sugar on the nose, with a decadent, warm mid palate. Lithe texture with a hint of brine and maple syrup. Tannins are resolved and acids are struggling to show up. Overall, a very nice showing. — 4 days ago

Dense, extracted nose of cassis and burnt toast. Mid palate is pure and viscous with blueberry jam and brown sugar notes. Squeaky clean and burly tannins interplay with bright acidity. This still has 10 years + in the tank! Excellent example from an outstanding producer. — 10 days ago

Good golly, this example played chess on our senses on another level. Probably the wine of 2025 for us! — 12 days ago
Shockingly AWFUL.
Something bad happened here. Like drinking castor oil. So bad, not going to rate it! — 4 days ago
The epitome of smooth and majestic.
Not easy to find on the secondary market, but worth securing a bottle at the right price. Notes of mocha and espresso on the nose and mid-palate segue to polished tannins and moderate acidity. The capstone is a nice balanced weight and mouthfeel. Never disappointed with this botting. — 9 days ago
This has stood still. Exemplary in terms of presentation. Precise and laser focused macerated cherries with hints of espresso beans. Deftly balanced on the mid palate. Grainy tannins with hints of maple syrup bringing up the rear. Outstanding. — 12 days ago

This is a “wifey” rating…
Caramel and butterscotch notes on the nose and palate. Roasted pineapples and limes present on the mid palate, with a note of preserved citrus fruits. Evolving to a better place as it warms up in the glass. Getting better with bottle age. — 3 days ago
