A winner from @ Garagiste’s case of rosés. Grenache/Cinsault/Rolle/Syrah.
With WINE!!!! On the back label in French and English.
Lovely subdued fruit, a bit of a powdery, talc quality many Provençal rosés carry.
Watermelon, Rainer Cherries, rosehips, nice balance of acidity.
With crab cakes on a muggy day and a lack of beer, perfect — 3 years ago
@Kay Delectable this is the eiswein. Paired with apple pie Alto Adige style (with figs). Heavenly combination. — 4 years ago
It’s 1/2 bottle n/v Billecart evening.
This is a more appropriate color of rose for the Rosé color of this champagne.
My go to n/v Rosé Champange for a number of reasons…quality & 1/2 bottle availability are right up there.
Blood orange, black cherries, Rainer cherries, lean strawberries, pomegranate juice, hints of raw rhubarb, grainy, grippy, sharp chalkiness, crunchy volcanics, limestone, sea fossils, baguette crust, deep white spice, orange lilies, peach roses, excellent, lively acidity with a rich, well balanced smart finish that starts clean, ripe fruits falling onto perfect minerality. — 5 years ago

Beautiful. — 4 years ago
It’s Trockenbeerenauslese, you say? Yes, I said that. This nectar is of magic! Candied peaches, tangy homemade orange marmalade, velvety ripe apricots and warm honey combine and dance across the pallet as you sip this amazing Austrian dessert wine. It’s truly beautiful. — 5 years ago
This was so hedonistic for me, but within the realm of balance. The oak, lees integration, alcohol, and ripe tannin made for elixir that went straight to the pleasure center of my brain. Honey covered and grilled yellow peach, distilled honeysuckle, lavender, candied pear and Rainer cherry, crushed stones, orange peel, marzipan. So ripe and yet the full ML treatment worked so well. The phenolic Viognier bite was so suave and plush. — 6 years ago

In the zone. This is drinking so well. Nose is divine. Elegant liquid minerals, white cherries and also rainer cherries and a dollop of apricot. Palate is juicy and mineral with almost no fruit and a slathering of minerals that just assault your palate. Just a wonderful wine. Nose develops a hint of orange zest now with air. Not elegant and not that long but what it lacks in charm and length it makes up for in intensity and flavor authority. — 3 years ago
No, fine! Fair acididi (for grape), good length. Fair complexidi. Lots o ripe pear n a little lemon n yellow fruit. Hint o mineral. — 5 years ago
