Motley Cru

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2017

Deep ruby in color with slight brick color on the rim. Nose is quite pleasing with berry compote, lavender, and dark chocolate. Also a bit of earthiness. Wow. A great mouthfeel on this wine. Well balanced with tannins still a bit heavy. That said, I like my wines with a bit more tannic backbone. These notes are from pop and pour taste. Will let it open up a bit and will update if it changes significantly. — 19 hours ago

Château Latour

Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1955

Heartbreaker. Intense fruit. Loads of character and fresh. A Mahler bresse bottling which might explain the quality. Wonderful — a day ago

Bonneau du Martray

Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay 2006

Pop and pour. A splendid medium straw color. On the nose: asian pear, crisp apples, lemon rind, almonds, floral. Taste: chalky, oily, vibrant wine with lemon zest, white peach, saline, slate, and a mineral lime peel long finish. YUM! Nice compelling wine at 19 years. — a month ago

Another great showing for this wine with its red & black fruits, cherry, berry, cassis, mocha, spice, damp earth, floral & tobacco notes. — 3 days ago

Château Margaux

Premier Grand Cru Classé Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2007

No formal notes. Maybe slightly less dense ruby, wider rim . More refined and quite elegant , medium bodied , slightly more cooler greener fruits . This quite aromatic initially, mix of red and dark hedgerow fruits . A little more refined and small boned , perhaps a little light a shorter than others . This was impressive out of the gate , aromatic and charming quite mineral also , though it was the only wine that faded a little with time in the glass . This appears to be at its peak though probably will remain here for another 5 -10 years perhaps — 3 hours ago

Jacques Selosse

Initial Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

Disgorged August 2018. Initial with a little age is just incredible and really allows it to reach its full potential. 2018 disgorgement is showing fabulously, totally in the zone with distinctive Selossien aromatics, a rich, powerful and textural palate with racy acids and a chalky mineral core. There’s both freshness and integrated oxidative complexity yielding a complete, balanced and seamless Champagne. Nothing like Selosse 💛 — 6 days ago

Enchanting noise. Soft cherry, floral notes, delicate herbal notes. Pure and intense and delicate. Just amazing and light — a day ago

Château Haut-Bailly

Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

Still needs a lot of time 16 years on...maybe it will never reach its 100 point potential. Still an exceptional Bordeaux that improved markedly after 3 hours in the decanter. — 12 days ago
