Marc Hébrart

Champagne Premier Cru Brut Rosé Blend

What more is there to really say about the Marc Hebrart range of grower champagnes? Beautiful, beautiful wines and always so much fun. The fun continues here.

A delicate light pink color with a constant stream of fine bubbles. Smells of summer. That memory with the pretty girl on the beach, that’s what you get here. Cranberries and wild strawberries mingle with herbs and chalk. Loads of minerals and a bit of honeysuckle. Toast, cherries, and really pretty orchard fruits.

Balance and precision. That’s exactly what you will find here. 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir from Mareuil-Sur-Aÿ with 6.5% of the Pinot vinified as still red wine in neutral oak. Such striking depth and sleekness. Those summer berries dominate the palate but always maintains focus. Subtle herbs and spices with such purity of fruit. Really beautiful.

Echézeaux Grand Cru Pinot Noir

This wine is often described as meaty which could be a sign of Brett. None of this was evident, showing better than the grand echezeaux we sampled before. Earthy, bing cherries, salty, medium body. Quite a joy to drink now. Pure and refined. — 5 days ago

Special Club Brut 1er Cru Champagne Blend 2013

Good enough for Covid Oscars...bright, limpid gold, round, creamy, soothing attack! Starts pushing out the ripe, red apple, dripping juicy pear.... really nice with the runny triple cream and the crumbly, salty, crystallized Pecorino. I think this wine deserves another point... maybe point and s half. Lucious glass of bubbles! Cheers! — 22 days ago

Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru Pinot Noir

More substance than the echezeaux, dense core, musty cherries but elegant at the same time, first time ever experience of this cuvée. Needs patience will be wonderful in next 10 years. — 5 days ago

Reading someone like yourself write about “firsts” (especially in this region) confirms the endless learning curve of wine and lead me to some new discoveries. Thanks and enjoy!

Les Passetemps Santenay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2017

Very expressive aromas of flowers, some herbal notes, clearly whole clusters and a lot of fruit that we find also on the palate that is round, fairly supple of medium body at the most, nicely balanced, a few years in the cellar will do this wine so good but it is very enjoyable now. 89-90

Un nez très expressif, vendanges entieres, floral et herbacé, du fruit à revendre tout comme en bouche, qui est assez ronde et souple, bel équilibre, un bon vin qui pourra se conserver quelques années mais agréable en ce moment. 89-90
