Time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Here's a delicious one from Israel.
Inky in color with a short reddish/brick rim.
Fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, black plums, cooked cherries, vanilla, light cedar, spices, cola, tobacco leaf, black tea, alcohol, coffee, milk chocolates, light herbs and black pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with cooked plums, black currants, coffee, cedar, vanilla, spices, earth, milk chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn and light vinaigrette.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a wonderful Merlot blend from Israel. Showing nice complexity and well balanced with a great mouthfeel. Really enjoyed the nose here, even after a few minutes out of the bottle.
This four year old is already yummy right out of the bottle, but better after a couple of hours in a decanter.
I've had this before, and this time I decided to give it a slight chill, and boy it was delicious.
Nice buttery mouthfeel, even looks buttery when poured. Drinking very nicely now.
Very tasty and fruit forward. Dark, extracted and rich. Feels like a Napa Bordeaux blend.
A blend of 42% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 12% Petit verdot and 26% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels. Unfiltered and Kosher. Mevushal.
15.5% alcohol by volume.

100% Cab from Soda Canyon and Atlas Peak. Aged for 20 months in 42% New French Oak. Mild tannins and very European in style. Notes of sweet baking spices, tamarind, cedar, vanilla, and black fruit (Blackberries, Cherries, etc.). This one is right up there with Blacklist XIII, which was a 50/50 blend of Cab and Merlot, but very similar in style and structure. — a month ago
Sábado vinho ótimo, sabor preciso, combinação muito boa para quem está com amor e paixão. Bom acompanhamentos com carne e massas agridoce... Top😍 — 12 days ago
Pale lemon in color with a golden hue.
Nose of lemons, citrus, melons, red apples, white pepper, alcohol, light pineapples and herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, apples, pears, herbs, light vegetables, spices and black pepper.
Long finish with limes and grapefruits.
This is a very tasty Chardonnay. Spicy finish with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Nice and elegant.
Good by itself or with food. Not bitter nor tart, and great to sip on by the lake.
Easy drinking, but has a lot of alcohol and it's not noticeable at all, so watch out. Tasty and enjoyable.
This is a great sipper on the boat.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Light for a cab, but really enjoy this wine. Great flavor, peppery. Surprised by the juice. Great for the $$ — a month ago
Very bright and fruity at first. A little acid in the end. — a month ago
Lovely nose. Tobacco, dried roses, chestnut, mineral, so floral, Cuban cigar, really aromatic. Just gorgeous. Elegant, juicy and complex. So fresh, refined and clean. Fantastic ripe tannins. So classic. Lovey mid season cherry fruit and spice. Great persistence of licorice and cherry. So pure. — a month ago

Vintage 1978 | Incroyable! Unbelievable! Amazing. Velvety taste, grandma Pinot noir smell. / Paired with tenderloin and bell pepper Asian Style and cheeses / I often think ‘ how will this wine taste in 5, 10, 15 years?’ I seldom or never think ‘How tasted this wine 42 years ago?’ Now I do. | I think this must have been a Dutch bottling. — a month ago
