Crystalline in the glass. Pure presentation of citrus fruits and moderate sweetness, with lots of detail on the mid-palate. A beauty which will cellar for many years to come. — 6 days ago

Les Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2021

The bouquet is sooooo intoxicating, melting you from all directions with orange and apple blossoms, peach and nectarine nectar, jasmine, shortbread, lemon pledge, limeade, oyster shells and ocean spray, and crushed gravel

On the palate a spectrum of citrus lasers meld w that juicy dripping peach flesh ~ riding that long acidic and saline finish ~ WOW!

Gorgeous clarity. This is a great bottle. Clear and intense. Softened at the edges. Delicate lemon and stone. In really good shape and kinda haunting — 13 days ago

The twin titans 85 and 86 are still holding up. What a great deal this used to be.

Jacques Selosse

Initial Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

(Disg. 12/14) One of the best bottles of Selosse in recent memory, the coveted 2008 base Initial is an absolute stunner, still incredibly fresh and vibrant with off the charts complexity and captivating Selossien aromatics, a rich, powerful and textural palate with layered minerality and a finish that just doesn’t end. Amazing wine. — 7 days ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2001

Very nice but not quite at the same level as the one we had a couple years ago. Certainly extremely Bordeaux in terms of typicity. Paired with some La boite peppercorn blend crusted wagyu filets from Allen brothers. Definitely ready to go, opened with cork pop for 3.5 hours and decanted for 1. — 8 days ago

Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1993

A deep, brooding, intense monster.. gnarly fruit with deep, soulful savory notes. Black cherry, iron. But stop so pretty. Positive. Years to go. Delicious. — 21 hours ago

Château Latour

Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2002

This was youthful with red & black fruits, cedar, leather, mint, rich & spicy on the palate finishing with notes of graphite, floral & sweet tobacco. Impressive showing in a difficult vintage. — 6 days ago

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1986

Bright ruby garnet with quite narrow garnet rim . Quite closed at first with mineral , cassis , sous bois , cigar box , touch of smoke . On the palate very intense with lots of cigar box tinged cassis , blackberry , cedar , coffee. Gritty but integrated tannins , fresh acidity . Very long and complex on the finish . This is still young but is starting to show what it can do , perfectly balanced and enormously long . Precise and for Las Cases very elegant . Now and for the next 10-15 years . — 4 days ago
