Les Vaucrains Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2014

For me these 14s are drinking great now. A little earth and bramble but not overpowering. Nice. — 13 days ago

Domaine Méo-Camuzet

Nuits-Saint-Georges Pinot Noir 2012

Perfect density and lightness match to make a very charming red burgundy of class and tradition. Energy and stability intact and alive. Not too many specifics to point out just great all around what I was looking for. — 2 days ago

Vieilles Vignes Nuits-Saint-Georges Pinot Noir 2008

Label says 08, cork says 09. Probably and 09. Some roasted coffee notes. Not terribly elegant but still quite good. Drink — 10 days ago

Aux Thorey Nuits Saint Georges Pinot Noir 2018

Lyle Fass

Lovely high toned nose, red cherry, spicecake, confectionary high toned, raspberry cake, raspberry coulis. So aromatic, wood shop shavings. Palate is lush and acidic but superbly elegant. There are tannins but not a wall. Elegant and playful. Concentrated and so juicy. Superbly red fruited. Complex and lithe. Dense, concentrated and so balanced. Truly brilliant. — 19 days ago

La Cerisaie Hermitage Red Rhone Blend 2017

Lyle Fass

The very rare Greek Hermitage is just wow. Sick nose of blackberry, blueberry, herbs, lavender, granite, so so so aromatic. So vivid, wafting and detailed. Huge huge granite. 9.7 nose. Just amazing. Palate is so young but will good. Stunningly concentrated but so elegant. with black fruits and velvety tannins. So opulent, with just massive power and depth. This is so grand in every way. Regal. This will open up and I’ll be back as my score will go higher. From 9.5 to 9.7 with air. What texture, what power, what finesse. This is world class. What a finish. — 17 days ago

Georges Skouras Peloponnese Moscofilero 2019

One of the few whites I’ve brought home my wife showed enthusiasm for. Floral, crisp and minerals, with just a clean freshness hard to describe. Pear comes to mind on the palate. A little saline as well. High acidity begs another sip. — 22 days ago

Clos de la Maréchale Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Decanted 2 hours before drinking. Deep and structured with both a rich and sappy mouthfeel. Creamy cassis, black cherries, hints of earth and rich tannins with a lingering finish. Drinks wonderful now but has superb aging potential. — 5 days ago
