Purchased by husband over 20 years ago.
Clear.still garnet color, a little bit orange at the edge.
Soft tannins, very smooth texture, still have fruits.
Taste great but nose is different my expectations. Maybe not perfect timing to open. Super long finish.

30 minutes of slow ox and then drunk over 90 minutes. Lovely cherries, rose petals and over time the wine put in some excellent weight with slight hints of tobacco leaf and leather. It’s brilliantly balanced with an exquisite silky finish and was just an delight to drink this with... pizza! Looking forward to@my next bottle! — 12 days ago
Lovely intense medium cherry lipstick nose. Palate is crunchy cherries. Delicious. Perfect balance. Amazing freshness. Stay tuned ... this will change as it opens.
As it opens the nose is dense perfume. Really concentrated. Almost like a gas transforming into a liquid in your nostrils.
Palate is amazing. Terrific texture. Crazy internal aromatics. Palate coating beyond belief.
90 minutes in this is spectacularly delicious.
This vaporizes chevillon so bad it’s not funny. Cant believe this is a village wine. Wow.
Tanins are still a bit chunky. My guess is that they need another 2-3 years to smooth out.

Found this to be drinking quite well, tannins were integrating nicely, distinctive tertiary character has taken form, and the wine carried a gracefulness without loosing any rustic charm. Dried brambly fruit, wet leaves, dried leather, sous bois, dried flowers, and almost this parched landscape quality, like high desert or chaparral sort of note. Very intriguing and brought lots of joy to a simple French meal. Procured in FR, not a KLWM import — 5 days ago
Hay, rose petals, cherry, nice classical burgundy nose. The palate is very nice, on the sweet side of burgundy with a strong acid backbone, some nice cherry blossoming all around, a soft and welcoming touch on the border, gentle tannins and a looonggg finish with fruit. You gotta love the style but if you do, this is great. I love it — 4 days ago
Draws a fine line between concentration, grace, and structure. The black cherry and pomegranate fruit is deep, mixing ripe with a touch kirsch. Classic NSG savory notes come through but framed by an alluring floral side. Game, iron, hung meat, licorice, floral pastille, sandalwood and cedar. The fruits richness shines up front on the palate, and he wine departs with a compact mineral touch and very fine tannin. This packs a lot of length, complexity, and balance for a village wine with purity that really helps it punch above its weight. — 18 days ago
