Massive monster of a wine that will obviously polarise. The type of wine that you drink while being fed grapes and fanned with a giant palm leaf. Opulent and luxurious with blackberry, brambles and tar. Its going to be too much for a lot of people but if you like your wines full of flavour then this is for you! — 25 days ago
Buttery aromas and flavors up front, lemon, sea salt, just amazing cut, acidity and depth, super long, lingering finish, yet still very youthful overall, this is why we all buy Raveneau Chablis (Les Clos being the pinnacle), well, for me, “used to buy” (LOL)!! Amazing, a true WOW wine!! — 14 days ago
Better than my last btl showing pear, citrus, mineral, white flower with good acidity. — 15 days ago
Yum! Elegance and precision. Lacking depth on the mid palate but then it comes back with its evident classy personality. — 4 days ago
Beautiful pure nose. Lacking mid palate deepness at this stage but overall nice and well balanced and integrated. Closing a bit harsh but this will improve with time. — 4 days ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Est. in 1861, first winery in the Napa by Prussian-born Charles Krug. Today the winery remains under the leadership of the Peter and Marc Mondavi, whose family purchased winery in 1943. Fruit sourced mainly from five family estates in Yountville, deep Ruby with ripe dark berry scents and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of sweet blackberry and cherry with leather, cacao and vanilla oak. Soft tannins, long ending with toasty oak and fruit! Very nice! — 14 hours ago
