Dry but still goes down smooth with cherry notes — 16 days ago
Dense and compact, with an initial farmyard character that soon gave way to a fairly straightforward BDX profile. Somewhat lacking in either regional or viticultural typicity, with blackberry, dark chocolate, burned coffee and a hint of vanilla. The palate has good length with chewy tannins - it’s a fine wine for beef - and a pleasant finish. May improve in bottle yet. Very good value. — 7 days ago
Выпито по приезду в Обнинск 21.01.21. Это замечательное Бордо 1996 года я купил в 2003 году за 75$ в Москве. Очень вовремя я его открыл - на пике зрелости. Просто великолепно. 👍 — a day ago
טעם מאוזן עם חמיצות אופיינית ליינות מדוק. אף: פתל ופירות יער. לשון: קפה, דובדבן חמוץ ונגיעת וניל. אפטרטסט ארוך. משתלב מעולה עם אומצה. — 21 days ago
I can’t overstate my love for the Cordier stable in the 1980s and this reinforces that passion. From a 375 ml bottle in a Gabriel Glas Gold, savory leather and a streak of mint play off brooding dark currant to deliver fine depth. It initially seemed a little dilute, but 30 minutes of air brought out the fine tannin and acidic structure it needed to frame the flavors. While fine on its own, it really took off when paired with a prime ribeye. A terrific final red for this challenging year. — 22 days ago
Surprisingly clear blackcurrant with a nicely balancing cedary flavour. Little to no acid or tannin. — a month ago

This wine has a deep ruby hue.
First impression involved caramel, vanilla, anise, black licorice, plum, black currant on the nose/palate; as it opened, nutmeg, cardamom, earth, cured meat, leather, espresso, and chocolate came forward.
Lovely Bordeaux blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc) with great balance and nice complexity.
Was in the mood for Bordeaux this eve. It didn’t clash with the meal (spinach / aged cheeses, ravioli, flat leaf parsley, scallions, roasted aubergine) but didn’t much enhance the experience either. It was still very much enjoyable. No regrets.
