Light, Crisp, Floral, Citrus. Everything about this is spectacular. The best American Sparkling I've ever had. — 4 years ago
60% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot & 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Nose has spring rose, rain moistened red raspberry, black currant and fresh sage.
Palate has lightly tannic blackberry, wet leather, ripe black currant, cigar box, wet clay and tarry black cherry.
Paired with a long cooked Bolognese sauce over fettuccine. Decanted ~3hr, more time in the decanter would benefit. Future bottles can be 2022+
Happy Father's Day 2019 to all. Today I'm posting pictures of our kids, yes they are all furry, independent and somewhat self-interested. Two boys (8) and two girls (2), sisters, all rescued. They generally bring the utmost of joy to my life on a daily basis. It has been a rainy and relaxing day here, everyone is loving the slow pace of life today.
I think that Delectable needs to be able to tag cat+wine posts so that I can make a bookmark for felines. — 5 years ago
Scored a couple of these bad boys from Full Pull for $20. Money spent wisely. Tasting like an old Frenchie, time to drink since it’s starting to lose some flavor. Still a really nice representation of how well WA wine can age. — 2 years ago
A very nice wine after 12 years in the bottle. Still lots of fruit, not over extracted, dark cherry, cassis, leather, tobacco. Agreed, it is more similar to a French style wine. — 4 years ago

Cherry and plummy with earthy notes. Dare I say, light tobacco finish — 4 years ago
With my boys here in Detroit. It’s 5p somewhere...
Nice tobacco notes on the nose. Black cherries on the palate with, earth and a meaty dimension. Pure silk and crushed velvet on the mid-palate. Finishes with hints of truffle - outstanding. — 5 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Love these “Blue Boys.” Mollydooker (Aussie for left-hander) Wines was established in 2005 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Dark Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas adding sweet spice and cedar. On the palate this wine has complex flavors of blackberry and blueberry with licorice, cacao, oak and vanilla. Fine dusty tannins, peasant mouthfeel (16% Alcohol), full-bodied, long ending with a nice spicy finish. Aging well, good now, has room to run over short term. — 5 months ago
