So sappy with a beautiful core. Needs days to open fully. Will report back.

Jan 24th, 2014If you don't think they can make Grand Cru Pinot in Germany, think again. With Fuerst and Mobitz my top 3 Pinot's from Germany. A Fass Selection. Can't wait to open.

Oct 30th, 2013Nose is that old burgundy water on hot brick. Sweet cherry. Earth.
Palate is sweet cherry. The best sweet cherry licorice ever. Hints of tomato.
There is a magnificence about this. Almost an herbal spiciness after an hour.

Epic. Needs an hour to open. Nose is pure spatburgunder. Licorice. A hint of green. Pepper. Palate is Uber fresh and concentrated cherries. Mineral. Focused licorice. Pure. The stuff of genius. Bought from Fass Selections.

Oct 8th, 2018Wow. Blind easy grand cru burgundy. Internal aromatics are at the top of the scale. Incredibly intense sweet licorice with some spice. Just laughing that this was forty dollarish. This blows away the last few grand cru red burgs I’ve had. Long sweet licorice finish. Lovely violetty fruit in the palate. Just a beautiful wine. Bought from Fass Selections.
Continues to improve. A best wine of the year kind of wine.

Tasted side by side with the Muschelkalk. A bigger wine. Blackberry thyme nose may be with a cranberry tinge. More earth and dirt in this one. The Buntsandstein is long. Today better than the Muschelkalk. Blows any Burgundy out of the water for 1/2 the price. Yet it is recognizable unique. Enderle and Moll are crazy good winemakers they found their own style. Beats me how they do it year after year.
