Apr 1st, 2019The second wine from a chateau I generally enjoy, stylistically. Popped and poured; consumed over a three day period. Cassis, tobacco, earth are there but none of the parts were really exciting. No tension. No oomph. It slowly unraveled over the three day period. Firmly in the category of “good” but there are better values especially over $30. Chateau Senejac from the same vintage delivers more quality and excitement for half the price.

Feb 6th, 2021Drinkable, balanced, inoffensive; wouldn’t go out of way to get again but perfectly pleasant. Good match to a port reduction sauce
