@Ron R : Years ago, he was fermenting some Merlot when the fermentation got stuck. Instead of reinoculating with new yeast, he pressed the unfinished Merlot away from the exhausted skins and married it with a tank of petite sirah skins that were still very alive. Essentially a reverse saignee method. Very unique process with Merlot (supple) having petite sirah (intense) help complete the process!
There are prizes for coming in 2nd if you're factoring in QPR...Schrader rolling in at $350-$800-. Unfamiliar with this particular wine but a Darioush or Sinegal offshoot. Half the price of Schrader? Same price? A third?
@Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego, you make a good point, to a point. Now I’ve enjoyed the Schrader, I’m shipwrecked as my mean point has been readjusted upwards.
