De Bortoli

Noble One Botrytis Sémillon 2020

Sweet. Stone fruits (apricot and peach). I would score it higher if it had a bit more acidity. Enjoyed with a pear tart. — 13 days ago

The Original No. 01 A California Big Red Blend

Best, deep red, not too fruity, but could get deeper. Very close to what I normally want for deep red quote out being bitter or to sweet. — a month ago

Big Churn

California Chardonnay

For the $ it’s quite drinkable and just enough oak to make me smile. 💞 — 3 months ago

Far Niente Winery

Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Same comments as a few months ago. Drinking really well now. Big fruits, big cab. Really well integrated and developed. Black and blue fruit, nice minerality, some baking spices, soft nice mouthfeel. Finish a bit short but man it’s really good. — 3 months ago

Tignanello Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2016

No formal Notes. Very nice. For me too polished. Not my kind of wine but some guests loved it. Big. — 2 months ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2015

Real pleasure. Started out surprisingly soft and elegant and about 1 hour in it just jumped the river and became a true grippy left bank Bordeaux. I had to check our claim that Vilafonté Bordeaux series m and c can stand shoulder to shoulder with the big rollers of Bordeaux. They sure do! Try for yourself and experience a wine from an ancient soil. You will not be disappointed. www.spokenwines.com. — 2 months ago

To us a hidden gem no more. A delightful example of Willamette pinot noir worthy of many more tries — a month ago

Chimney Rock

Elevage Stags Leap District Merlot Blend 2006

Decanted this 2006 for a day before drinking. I did taste when I first opened and it was good but after a day it was soft and luscious in the mouth and tasted precisely like what it is, a merlot driven Bordeaux. It paired beautifully with a hearty beef stew and then was great on its own. — 3 months ago
