The 2009 Bourgogne Aligoté pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with pungent notes of matchstick and flint with some notes of lemon, apple, herbs and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and saline. Even her Aligote is remarkable and, apparently, age-able. Drink now through 2029. — a year ago

This is really fresh, really good. Bold nose of apricot, amber and ripe yellow fruits waft forth with a gentle spice interwoven throughout. Medium body with nice legs, the palate is acidic and mineral forward, with bright lemon, cumquat and slightly underripe orange. Dry, mineral driven finish, all around this is a very special, golden wine. — 4 years ago

So lucky to get to try this. We only got 1 case allocated. Aligote is the “second” grape but when well made is memorable. Tart green apple, underripe tangerine, lemon and some salinity. Chablis on steroids. Just a complex bottle of wine. — 6 years ago
