Great! 1hr decant but probably should have PnP’d as this tired quickly and is a little past prime drinking window. Started out at 97 and ended at 94. Dark red, maroon color with ample bricking. Nose has bramble, cedar, and licorice. Massive depth which separates the $50+ Bordeaux’s from the same priced Napa wines. Lots of cherries and some Amarone and Port elements near the end. Medium finish. A fav of mine! Very consistent across vintages. — 11 days ago

Dr @Brendan Devine found a tasty tween in Rhinebeck! Really nice dark fruits and earth. — a month ago
Un peu moins apprécié cette bouteille, fruits rouge cuit, c’était lourd, légère amertume. Pas à ce que je suis habitué avec Cambon. — a month ago

Needs a few years but is accessible now. Nose needs little coaxing, comes out of the gate with bright cassis, a little of that cool, leafy thing that mid-range Bordeaux can have, gravel, and cedar. The fruit deepens with air. I love the fore-palate, with dense dark berry fruit, but in a mid-weight frame. Back half of the palate tightens up, leaving lots of soft but puckery tannins. Good acids. Bone dry and chiseled. No flab. — 20 hours ago
