Delicious. So juicy and nuanced. There’s so much concentration! The barrel fermentation is perfect in my opinion. There’s a little bit of intentional reduction and there are some popcorn aromas as well. On the palate a rich rush of lemon pie, lemon tart, pineapple, and quince fills your mouth. #cheninblanc #verdelho #viognier #coastalregion #southafrica 13.5% alcohol and perfect. I hate critics that judge a wine by the alcohol on thelabel. — 4 years ago
The first time I tasted this I wasn’t too impressed. I was expecting a ripe #cabernetfranc from California in my mind. I just tasted it blind among other #cabernetblends and it was one of the best. Deep ruby color with pronounced aromas of black fruit with savoury meaty (Bolognesa, Beef Bourginon) flavors. High fine grained tannins. #southafrica #stellenbosch — 4 years ago
Outstanding #pinotnoir from #elgin #southafrica intense aromas of flowers (violets and lavender) and a hint of gunpowder. — 5 years ago
Surprisingly complex for only a 2018 from the Southern Hemisphere. Hints of smoke and flint and toast. Purity of fruit. Excellent #hemelenaarde #southafricanwine #southafrica — 4 years ago
Okay so it’s not an American wine to celebrate #veteransday but it does say ”made on honour” on the label and if there’s one thing that all soldiers Live by, it’s honor! I’m amazed at how well this 2017 is drinking right now. Gooseberry, passion fruit and kiwi abound. Hints of cut grass and lime mojito. The concentration of aromas and flavours is amazing. Fantastic wine really. #southafricanwine #southafrica #robertson #sauvignonblanc — 4 years ago
Very interesting #merlot from #stellenbosch #southafrica i didn’t particularly like it the first time I tasted it with Coravin, but today I opened it with a stew with red peppers and it was heaven. Highly recommendable with stews and game. — 5 years ago

2010 Magnum doing just fine! Says Shiraz, so not a blend per se. Big mushroom nose of porcini and cooked chanterelle. Blackberry, smoke and black pepper with espresso grind and cocoa powder. Intense extraction with leather, blackberry, black plum, prune, black olive, charred beef, dried violets;chewy, deep, earthy, lovely. Incredible musculature.
