I offered the '97 at a lunch of elite wine collectors yesterday, here in Hong Kong. It did not disappoint! The '97 has opened beautifully over the past 3 to 4 years.
Excellent to know that it plays well in places near and far.👍

The first time I tasted this I wasn’t too impressed. I was expecting a ripe #cabernetfranc from California in my mind. I just tasted it blind among other #cabernetblends and it was one of the best. Deep ruby color with pronounced aromas of black fruit with savoury meaty (Bolognesa, Beef Bourginon) flavors. High fine grained tannins. #southafrica #stellenbosch — 4 years ago
