Vintage 2010 / Late harvest #cheninblanc with golden colour. Shy smell with peach impressions. The taste is breathtaking! Such balance between sweet and acidity, really amazing. Very vibrant. Elegance and finesse. Great performance. #montlouis #loirefunk — a month ago
Vintage 1990 / Yves died in 2008, he is the father of François. Apricot and honey in smell. The smell of this #cheninblanc is not 100% correct 🤨 but gets much better with aeration. The taste is allright though, with impressions of honey, Turkish fruit, pears, well balanced between sweetness and vivid acidity. Colour has a old golden shine. Partnered it with an apple from the oven. With some butter and sugar. Simple, delicious. — 2 months ago
Vintage 2014 / damned... too young. Lots of minerals, but by no means an everyone’s friend. A bit difficult, as dry #cheninblanc can be. If you store this in the cellar, keep it there for a few years. Enjoyable as aperitive now. A bit stubborn, though. // Put half a bottle in the fridge with an anti oxydation stop... now 6 days later the wine shows a bit of its potential with some honey and friendlyness. Plus 0,1 in appreciation — 17 days ago
As close to Saumur as American Chenin gets. Extraordinary! #cheninblanc — 4 months ago
Vintage 2014 / Festive wine from #cheninblanc #quartsdechaume Sumptuous and rich, botytris and honey. Way too young, but interesting to follow its development. Taste likes nectar, makes me very happy. This AOC is a gem in the cellar, try to find some bottles and store them for special moments. With a homemade ‘Tarte au citron’ — 22 days ago
