'La Butte' Anjou Blanc Moelleux 1997

Domaine des Bonnes Gagnes 1997 Anjou Blanc Moelleux 'La Butte' - one of the gems of my cellar, it's excellent wine with a smell of honey, Turkish fruit and acacia. Impeccable balance, very vivid, fantastic s/s balance, mahony colour. #anjourules #anjoublanc #moelleux #lovecheninblanc #cheninblanc #cheningans — 4 years ago

(Saint-Jean-de-Mauvrets) Chenin Blanc Anjou AOC 2017

A few months since our last bottle, notes are still consistent:
100% Chenin Blanc; Anjou AOC (Saint-Jean-des-Mauvrets)
Nose of dry limestone, honey, beeswax and dried apricots.
Palate has chalky apricot, peach skin, nice acid balance and medium finish.
$14, QPR is just a crazy value play!

I couldn’t find this bottle at Total Wines but did find another #anjoublanc with promising reviews. Looking forward to trying it.

@Vasanth Balakrishnan Likely not an offering at TW, but Chenin can have many different expressions, all are good, some need lots of years tho.

Le Clos Chenin Blanc

Vintage 2013 - at auberge tresorbelge in Pouancay this is a wine I wanted to taste and now I can cancel it from my bucketlist to drink to a list 'wanted', a Belgian winemaker with lots of passion Eddy Oosterlinck did very well in this difficult vintage. Le Clos is the result of two passes during harvest between 8th and 21th October in a vineyard on slate soil. Creamy nose, sharp, harmonious taste, went well with Belgian Potjesvlees. #anjoublanc #loveit — 4 years ago
