Killer nose. Smells like German Meursault. Some lemon drop, some richness and outstanding salinity. Expansive and precise. Palate is so good. A perfect balance of richness allied with pointed minerality and that stunning 21 acid. Round yet so intense. Superb concentration and airiness along with amazing precision. A real charmer, full of dark, ripe, sweet berries, a pinch of spice, some kirsch, a whiff of gingerbread. Very sexy.
On the palate this is medium bodied, round, smooth, velvety with ripe dark fruit, a hint of dark chocolate nibs, with a fresh, herby note, juicy acidity and a very smooth, long finish. The alc (14% alc) is slightly noticeable but overall this is a true crowd pleaser!

Not as nervy as the 20 and shows the vintage in that it’s more baroque. It’s still crystalline and pure with freshness, electricity, finesse and depth. Just lacks the edge of the 20. — 6 months ago
