Broke my #zweigelt cherry 2nite with this selection. Earthy, mushroom aroma. On the palate you get almost the flavor equivalent of an oven roasted tomato with medium acidity. Tons of minerality, wet rock coming through. Very interesting & complex. Light to medium body. Somewhere between a light bodied Nebbiolo & a red Burgundy with hints of Beaujolais. Does that make sense to y'all? Tried this on its own but would live to see how it interacts with food. — 11 years ago
