Smoke and tobacco on the nose, with hints of mint and eucalyptus. Tart cherries and savory, ripe tomates full out the palate, with peppercorn and cedar on the outer palate. Fine tannins and lovely acidity. I love it - beautiful. Drink now. Happy birthday, Dagan! — 9 years ago
A little closer this evening. Heavy white peppercorn on the nose, which gives way to ripe, fresh blueberries and blackberries. Ripe, black cherries and black currants flow onto the palate, which gives way to plums and bittersweet chocolate and a backbone of acid that holds it all together. Medium finish with fine tannins. Needs some more time to bring out some signature Silice notes, but a great way to enjoy time with Mom. — 9 years ago
Beautiful as ever! Lemon custard and pastry crust on the nose, with hints of white gardenias and cut lime. Soft and welcoming on the entry, with fresh-cut lemons and fresh quince. Broadens into ripe, green apples and pears, and finishes in a long, acidic finish. Definitely a little muted and can cellar longer. — 9 years ago
Gorgeous aromatics. Black cherries, cinnamon and cardamom, and fresh morels on the nose. Dark, concentrated fruit on the entry with spicy and long finish. Fine tannic structure. A baby. — 9 years ago
A bit of oak and vanilla comes off the nose, which then turns into lovely notes of spring gardenias, jasmines, freshly grated lemon zest, and lightly baked brioche. Bright without being searing, lovely notes of quince and ripe Meyer lemon greet the palate, giving way to green pears and fresh apples, and finishing in a great saline note which begs for oysters. Bubbles are a little rough, but a great way to end Valentine's Day. — 9 years ago
Beautiful! Red Hots Candy and raspberries on the nose, with soft floral notes. Ripe cherries and cranberries flood the front palate, filling out to savory mushrooms and forest floor. Cellar and let it grow up. — 9 years ago
Lovely tropical fruit, crushed Tiger lily, baby's breath, and freshly sliced cucumber on the nose, which is reflected on the initial entry on the palate. Lovely spice on the end. Happy birthday, Mom! — 9 years ago
Hmm... cheap bubbles. A little boozey, with just enough green apple and lime to keep it from being its own cocktail. Just add orange juice. — 9 years ago

I had the opportunity to visit this small boutique winery today and I have to say, I am looking forward to what the future holds for them! Andrew is in the process of getting his estate biodynamic certified and he throws his own amphora pots to ferment his wines as he ferments and ages more and more in this non-traditional yet traditional method. This sort of intentionality is reflected in this rosè, as he reserves a section of his vineyard specifically for this bottling. Traditional Pinot funk, fresh peppercorn, picked watermelon and June strawberries recall a Provence-style rosè. Bright yet generous upon the entry, with fresh strawberries and cut blood orange greeting the palate, unfolding to early-season mango and ripe, orange pith, and finishing with Bing cherries, dried river stones, and acid for days. Balanced and thoughtful - just a rosè, but speaks well for the future of this winemaker. I look forward to seeing more from him! — 9 years ago
