Planted in 2007, big wine in a big vintage. Cooler site, on the west side of the AVA out by elk cove and BTF. Another stunner, 15’s have fruit for days, maybe years. This wine is 100% whole cluster, the only in the lineup, all of the wines are ticking up in percentage every year but this one tops the chart and is distinctly different on the nose and has a silkier texture than the other bottlings

Gorgeous aromatics. Black cherries, cinnamon and cardamom, and fresh morels on the nose. Dark, concentrated fruit on the entry with spicy and long finish. Fine tannic structure. A baby.

Dangerously good pinot. Loads of acidity and delicious red fruit accented by cedar, cardamom, more spices. Over the course of the bottle, the fruit turned darker and more forest floor funkiness emerged. Great stuff.

Beautiful garnet color. Nose is rich with red plum & ripe summer cherry notes. Fragrant and powerfully aromatic wine. Dark berries coat the palate with a wonderfully balanced nature to the wine. The mid palate weight is effortless despite the powerful fruit. Acid and tannins work seamlessly with the fruit. Beautiful stuff.

This is a tough one to appreciate. Bergstrom is biodynamic and this bottle had the smell of mushrooms and wet dog when we first poured it. After a half hour most of that had dissipated and a beautiful Pinot emerged.
