Dusty patina (like walking through a Japanese temple) pomegranate and cranberry. Mixed white and black peppercorns. Uplifting acid (in a good way) that super complements food. TBL — 4 years ago
Excellent wine. Paired well with the elk steak I had with it.

Tiny hint of reduction but beyond that it is super floral and with loads of cherry fruit. Iron, very mineral. Elemental stuff. Dusty and very very refined. Hit of licorice. Really alluring nose. Just stunning. These wines give nothing in their youth and then the blossom. Stunningly fresh and vibrant with still some tannic grip but wonderful balance and depth. Saps your palate and tales of over. This is truly on its way to being great. It’s long and saline and has floral echoes on the finish. Profound. But with age, 3-6 more years, this will be lights out. — 7 years ago

At the Dom Perignon dinner last Friday night. This was definitely the Star of the Show. David Cross from Moët Hennessy who presented on the night and has tasted many great Champagnes in his 30 year career said this was in the top 3 Champagnes he had ever tasted. He also represents Krug. In a word this was stunning!! The essence of the Plenitude programme - Complexity with Freshness. Disgorged 18 months ago. Touches of sea spray, biscuit, beeswax and mineral. Poised and refined. Just gorgeous - had to buy a bottle. — 5 years ago
This wine may be on the decline. The fruit has gone decidedly raisiny. But the acidity still shines and the wine remains delicious. — 7 years ago
I have had this in my cellar since 1998. Forgot about it. Absolutely great. — 9 months ago

Pepper, orange, a hint of cinnamon. So smooth. Outstanding in every way! — 6 years ago
Hazelnuts, petrol, lemon zest, and a bit of chalk. Some salinity. Very much like a fino sherry. — 7 years ago
