Tiny hint of reduction but beyond that it is super floral and with loads of cherry fruit. Iron, very mineral. Elemental stuff. Dusty and very very refined. Hit of licorice. Really alluring nose. Just stunning. These wines give nothing in their youth and then the blossom. Stunningly fresh and vibrant with still some tannic grip but wonderful balance and depth. Saps your palate and tales of over. This is truly on its way to being great. It’s long and saline and has floral echoes on the finish. Profound. But with age, 3-6 more years, this will be lights out.

Been a while since I had this. I seem to remember it was insanely closed last time. Fingers crossed. Nose has kirsch and cassis fruit. Some spice and pepper. Dark flowers. Seems subdued. Palate is crunchy and sappy and truly electric and fresh. Such energy. Big tannins like last time but much more fruit now and will open gloriously I think as the night goes on and the election results come in. Long finish. Dynamic structure to this wine. Wonderful fruit and density. This is awesome and has come out of its shell and is firing on all cylinders.

These are day 2 notes. Nose has very tangy berry fruit and lots of cracked rock minerality. Lean but weighty in the mouth. Dry core of fruit and rock. A little peppery heat on the finish. Somewhat more burly than most 14s I’ve had, but still very good.

Last breath? Far from it, this juicy red from a great producer in Moulin à Vent is a strapping teenager with a good few years to go yet.
Dusky mulberry with a touch of peony, the gentle tannins in this flamboyant wine delights.

Best Beaujolais I ever had... An absolute benchmark for me. Pure, luxurious, clean and deep fruit with inviting warm loamy earth notes. Polished and rich while never coarse or tight. Pure pleasure in the mouth.... Wow!

Floral, lots of flowers, deep berry fruit, dirty wet soil, leather, spice, beautiful purity on the palate. So complex. Structure is wonderful. Long and deep. Needs 3-4 years.

Fantastic aromas of intense granitic minerals and crunchy dark cherries. Nice note of sweet spice too. Intense, but not in a heavy way, and extraordinarily pure in the mouth. As expected with a Moulin a Vent, lots of tannic structure too. Bone dry but with excellent persistence of fruit, granite, and tannic cling. Great acids. This will improve over the next 3-4 years and last a lot longer than that.

I love this wine. Stunning nose. A bowl of dark cherries, mint, bittersweet cocoa, licorice, lipstick, cassis and clean earth notes. Palate is stunning if you can get past initial tannic blast. So juicy and pure. Layered and almost opulent but with a whip of acidity. Long juicy finish and oodles of complexity but the story is just starting to be told. My score will rise.

The real deal. Yes a bit early. Score goes higher. Lyle- love that tannin wall you refer to. Hitting on many notes.
