13.5% Godello - excellent wine from an excellent producer. If you haven’t done so already check out this varietal. Spanish origin, citrus, green apple, high acid medium body. Phylloxera almost wiped it out but it was revived in the 1970s. About 4000 acres are planted in Galicia. — 17 hours ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 pours a deep ruby purple with a near opaque core and a magenta rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of Montmorency cherry, tart plums, licorice, purple flowers, cocoa, and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Tasty stuff and a very nice pairing with braised short rib. Drink now through 2040. — 5 months ago
Had some of the green notes that reminded me of Côt in Loire, taught but still elegant, needed some air, this bottle didn’t have a ton of fruit and I wondered if others might have a bit more. — 3 months ago

This wine has the kitchen sink in it. Dark fruit is hiding under the prominent leather, herbs, mint, tobacco, and earth. It's a fine sipper for jazz nights by the fireplace. Made my teeth red.
