2018 vintage.
39 % Merlot, 21 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 14 % Syrah, 12 % Malbec, 10 % Cabernet Franc and 4 % Petit Verdot. Always a secretive blend. You don’t know the varietal mix and percentages until you peel back the foil from the bottle neck. It changes every year.
Bright ruby red with aromas of red cherry, milk chocolate and cocoa spice.
Medium bodied with still fresh acidity.
Blackberry, red plum, dark cherry with a bit spicy finish

Oldest in the Penfolds portfolio, Wine includes fruit from Barossa, McLaren Vale, Padthaway and Wrattonbully vineyards, aged in American oak. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate ripe blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with cacao, espresso and vanilla oak. Vivid acidity, rich ripe fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and a bit of spice, very nice! Good value with aging potential. — 2 years ago
Tart with a nice finish — a year ago
Stunning at this stage. Honeyed, a bit of reduction, dense palate & fabulous texture. Honeydew melon, minerals, just so easy to love. No flab. These n rhone whites can be so over-egged; Stephane’s wines are clean, enticing, and evocative. Lovely work @Lyle Fass Fass Selections Rhone portfolio. — 2 years ago
