No. 7 Syrah

2018 Syrah No 7. Wow this is good! Blackberry galore. Other commenters note lavender, pencil shavings, floral and I get all that. Medium plus bodied, silky mouthfeel, long finish. I’ve had Syrah before but not like this. Drinking perfectly now. Fantastic wine! — 17 days ago

RENDEZ-VOUS NO.1 Meunier Extra Brut

No.2 from the old terroirs. sometimes Pinot Noir is ok, and often in champagne it’s very good. This is a champagne with a great nose of ripe red fruit and some fresh baked brioche. Great acidity (low dosage) and an elegant meaty bite. Love it. — a month ago

Cave de La Côte

Cuvée No. 03 Galotta 2018

Certainly one of the most interesting and delicious wines of 2021. From grapes, a producer and a region I have little familiarity with. Cave de la cote was winery of the year and this wine, a hybrid blend of gamay and ancellota aged 18 months in oak is wonderful. Tense with great acid, fruity and aromatic (violet, rose and blackberry) from the moscato terpene influence this is a wine that would pair amazing with a pork chop, schnitzel or a steak with egg noodles. — 8 hours ago
