Domaine des Marronniers Chablis Les Marronniers Premier Cru 2018, Burgundy, France
#KosherWineSunday
Pretty golden in color.
On the nose pears, apples, citrus, light wood, light spices, earth and minerals.
Medium plus in body and elegant, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with lemons, ripe citrus fruits, apples, bitter herbs, spices, light oak, earth, vanilla and white pepper.
Long finish with almonds and spices.
This is a delicious Chardonnay from Burgundy. Well-balanced with an elegant mouthfeel.
This 4 year old is showing nice complexity now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
I had it before, and it is drinking even better now.
A good quality wine. Good right out of the bottle and better when not too cold.
Fruit forward and luxurious. Rich and focused.
Kosher and not Mevushal.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

apricot peach sauce with grilled orange on the nose along with a musk of verbena and gardenia - in addition to these notes as flavors I found apple pie crust and a honey component leaning rich yet with a vibrant lift of lemon and lime acidity in the mid palate — 2 hours ago
Vintage 2020 | @delectable this is white | combination of Pinot Gris and Auxerrois that gets 2 to 3 years of barrel ripening. The vintner told us it is interesting to ripen Pinots on wood if you want to make a dry gastronomic wine. This wine tastes very round, indeed some vanilla and very pleasant to taste. — 8 days ago
Another rendition of one of my favorite wines, a most sensual and erotic wine. An alluring deep salmon rose color in the glass with nice effervescence of small bubbles. The nose immediately shows as sweet, sweeter than I would expect but that soon dissipates. Strawberries up front with red cherries and a touch of apple. Crushed herbs and mild spice after some time. There’s a floral aspect here that’s outstanding, as well.
So many rosé champagnes are so similar in ambition and execution that it’s nice to find something that’s a marked step above. 90/10 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay and disgorged in October of 2019 with a dosage of 9 g/l. Nervy and thrilling, it’s an exciting champagne that doesn’t skimp on power. Good balance and structure with a vinous nature. Playful and teasing, without a trace of austerity.
Pure sex in the mouth with candied raspberries and more wild strawberries. Blood orange, grapefruit, and passion for days. Peaches, melons, and romance. A little chalk, a little lust. One of my favorites, year in year out. — 7 days ago

Nose has blackberry jam, moist leather, fig paste, charred wood, chopped dark chocolate and faint vanilla.
Palate has dried blueberry, blackberry, dried black currant, muddy garden soil, faint dried strawberry with mild tannins and medium acidity.
Solid pairing to a baked 'Mac & Cheese' dish fancied up with a béchamel sauce, Gorgonzola & Fontina cheeses, breadcrumbs and Casarecce Corte pasta. (Interpretation of a recipe courtesy of Joanne Weir) — 8 days ago
