Switched to Richbourg as we have over consumed Vosne Romanee and we needed a different style of Burgundy to go with our Pigeon!
Usual notes of red fruits (strawberry) to begin and a beautiful fruit concentration with soft, smooth texture throughout the 2 hours we managed to hold off on chugging it! — 2 months ago

An upgrade from our trusted Ruinart Blanc de Blanc (no offense but sometimes you need to change things up).
Softer, more rounded (oak barrels) and sophisticated. Perfect with our caviar and blinis.

Drawn back to this Vosne Romanee by a producer family we have tried before (Noellat). Did not disappoint with the usual red currant aromas, overly ripe strawberries in a jammy flavor.
Passed another of our wine gauges - we had to slow down drinking it! — 7 days ago

Back dating our reviews as we’ve been to this (excellent) restaurant twice in the past three days!
Superb seafood and this Chablis was the perfect accompaniment.
👏 to Michael the resident Sommelier for the selection.

A return to Cote Rotie to accompany our Asian influenced meal. Doesn’t get much better than Guigal La Landonne, which has never disappointed us. Rich, smooth, notes of blackberry and a hint of port. — 2 months ago

A real treat. Bigger (more fruit forward) than most Bunello’s we’ve tried, particularly given how young the wine is. Red currants, cinnamon, leathery. Solid wine. — 3 months ago

Back at our new favorite seafood restaurant and so very difficult to find the right red wine pairing (we were in the mood for some red….don’t judge us!)
Our new Sommelier BFF (Michael) steered us to this region and he was spot on! Light, fresh, red fruits…delicious 😋 — a month ago

Back at Le Cap where we discovered our wine of the year 2024 (Biondi Santi). This year going with a sommelier recommended Vosne Romanee (our go to red burgundy). Initial impression was “wow it’s another wine of the year contender” with notes of white truffle, strawberry ice cream and strawberry jam. Softer and more delicate than other Vosne’s we’ve tasted but after 3 hours of being open the taste dropped off at the end, so only a 9.7. — 2 months ago

Initial aroma very sweet (caramel, toffee) and red fruits. Extremely long and intense finish for such a young wine. 30 mins after opening became somewhat leathery.
Passed the key test of our rating system - I couldn’t stop drinking it! 👍🏼 — 2 months ago

Solid but lacked the wow factor we were expecting for a 2005 vintage. Or, maybe we’ve just become really picky with all the nice wine we’ve been drinking?! 🤔
Nice smooth texture and a strong dark chocolate taste. Really good wine but didn’t blow us away. — 7 days ago
