Dug out of the wine fridge for a night in….
An excellent wine and everything we love in fine red Burgundy, concentrated fruit, long finish, light and smooth at the same time. Will need to restock! — 4 months ago
Proof that great wine doesn’t have to be expensive (a total contradiction to all of our other posts! 🤦♂️)
We love this classic French brasserie and this Cote Rotie is the perfect accompaniment to our poulet 🐔
Rich, fruity, smooth and very drinkable… — 2 months ago
Back exploring Cote Rotie (to go with our steak).
Initial scent of sugary candy (Haribo!) with a long, super concentrated, smooth, dry texture and tastes of red berries.
Strong contender for best wine of 2024! — 4 months ago
Experienced this producer last year and wasn’t a fan but everyone deserves a second chance….Mr Prieure is redeeming himself…..Sommelier was a big fan too, recommending this over some other big names…..tasting notes: very light and delicate, scents of pickled cucumber (yes, really) and rhubarb. Not our usual deep berry concentration, this one is much more sophisticated, and deserving of the occasion and venue! — 6 months ago
Young, fresh, delicious Corton Charlemagne. Perfect first bottle for one of our favorite venues….slightly oaky, nutty scent with soft apricot/peachy flavor….it went disappeared pretty quickly so can’t be bad! — 2 months ago
We love it when the Sommelier steers us to a wine we’ve never tried before……this was a great choice as we are hooked on Cote Rotie right now….fruit scents became smoky, a little cloudy with superb fruit concentration. Not quite wine of the year but a great effort! — 2 months ago
Unbeatable location and excellent wine list, this one jumped off the page at us. Not surprising as it was our wine of the year in 2022. It’s back with a vengeance in 2024, into the #1 spot again. Smooth, almost creamy, with classic dark fruits (cherry), dark chocolate and earthy, leathery finish. Perfect with our Chateaubriand 👌🏼 — 6 months ago

Continuing our love affair with Cote Rotie!
Obvious dark fruits, Blackcurrant springs to mind, sticky “jammyness” towards the end of the bottle (no punn intended to the Jamet family!)
In short, a great wine to go with our steak…..the love affair continues 🍷❤️ 😋 — a month ago
