This 2022 was correct and energetic, but the 2016 was maderized. — 9 months ago
This smell and tastes more Northern Rhône than the vast majority of Walla Walla Syrahs I’ve had. Nose is smoky, iron-y, bloody, with spicy sharp blackberry in the background. Relatively (for Walla Walla) lean and savory in the mouth, it’s got surprisingly good acidity. Should go well with the steak I’m about to grill outside. — 3 years ago
Trying this lovely French Syrah a year later, still a bit reduced, but lovely purity of fruit with mineral undertones, nice balance, a quintessential midweek, no-guilt, drinker!! — an hour ago
Butter, cream, macadamia nuts, pear, caramelized sugar. A bit too much oak monster for me but is quite delicious — 2 years ago
My favorite Syrah! Lighter than some of the CA Syrahs but still complex. One that I could (and did) enjoy drinking with and without food. — a month ago

First note: black pepper galore. As it opens the pepper dissipates, leading to dried flowers and chalky earth. Under-notes of cherry. Great acidity with moderate tannins. — 2 years ago
A magical Syrah. — 3 years ago

Not quite as good as past ones. This feels slightly more thin, more restrained, with both less acid and less dark fruit and olive than in past vintages. With some more air comes alive a bit more. Would give more time or perhaps just time to drink up and accept it. — 2 days ago
