This smell and tastes more Northern Rhône than the vast majority of Walla Walla Syrahs I’ve had. Nose is smoky, iron-y, bloody, with spicy sharp blackberry in the background. Relatively (for Walla Walla) lean and savory in the mouth, it’s got surprisingly good acidity. Should go well with the steak I’m about to grill outside.

Smells of caramel covered pomegranate.

Lighter side of heavy bodied, cedar, white pepper, menthol, a touch of smoke.
Really well made with precise harmony of the acidity and tannin. Amazing vale, great winemaker.
