great find from sommselect! nose is heavy dirt, earth, mushroom character, heavy poutporri of red and purple flowers, and a touch of cherry cola. really dense on the nose, much heavier than typical Beaujolais. richer palate as well, lots of earth and i get some acidic cranberry as well. very well balanced. — 6 months ago

16.5/20 (90/100) Развитой букет ароматов грибов, изюма, сушеных яблок и груш. Довольно тельное и кислотное. Танины интенсивные, сухие, но не грубые. Сушеные яблоки и изюм во вкусе. Интересное. #dfwe2018 — 4 years ago
Believe this is the third producer of red still Pinot Meunier, which I have enjoyed. Others being La Rochelle (my first intro to Meunier, from Saralee Vineyard) and Chandon.
Similar yet different character than Noir. Higher acidity, lighter bodied than Noir, and in the direction of strawberry. Nice varietal to seek still. Exciting to discover as sparkling, where differences from Noir are more apparent, IMHO.
Stelvin, High acidity, needs air, better on second day. — 8 months ago
@Delectable Wine this the La Rochelle. Thanks!
50% maderization on the nose. Dusty old books. Leather. Spice. Roasted element. Palate not bad. Strawberry, light cherry, some herbals. Fruit is getting sweeter. Nice balance. A nice curiosity. Very fresh. — 10 months ago
