Eins Zwei Dry '3' Trocken Riesling 2020

Energetic and friendly. Great with food and on it’s own. Full body, fresh tropical fruit, sturdy acid, and long. I’ve liked every Lietz wine I’ve ever had, and this way over-delivers for around $20. — 3 months ago

Rüdesheimer Magdalenenkreuz Spätlese Riesling 2019

Thick body, with an array of stone fruit & white flowers on palate. Found it to be a bit meh in mid palate & in its acidity. — 3 months ago

Too bad. I usually stick with his dry/trocken versions.

I’ve experienced some of his Kabinetts as quite electric & chiseled. I can’t discount the fact I haven’t had a spatlese in a while, so my palate just out of practice

Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Rheingau Spätlese Riesling 2011

A nice clean Riesling, with a sweetness balanced by a crisp acidity. Nothing extraordinary, but straightforward and classic. This wine went well with vegetarian curry. A good wine at a reasonable price. — 3 months ago

Rüdesheimer Berg Schloßberg Trocken Riesling 2016

2h decant.
Baked lemons, ripe peach, a herby, slightly bitter orange and a dollop of honey.
On the palette this is creamy, quite rich yet with the typical steely lemon acidity. A mineral edge, great purity & depth. Linear yet with nice edges around.
Amazing. And so delicious.

Rüdesheimer Drachenstein Riesling 2001

At first I thought this bottle may have been over the hill. The color has turned to light amber and the nose is a little musky, like wet tennis balls. On the palate a completely different story. Fresh, vibrant, with razor sharp acidity. Fresh fruit, maybe gooseberries. This is not the best Riesling I’ve ever had but boy do I love aged German Riesling. And I’ve never had a mediocre bottle from Leitz. — 3 months ago
