Mineral, lemon, saline, gooseberry, and straw. Crisp and fresh with juicy acidity and light fruit. — 4 months ago
Pale lemon (translucent) hue. Pronounced aromas of bell pepper, gooseberry, grapefruit, with a hint of grass. Medium-minus body with high acid. Citrus and minerals on the palate. Long finish. Exemplar of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. — 8 months ago
Characteristic #sancerre - leans more gooseberry & stone fruit with less prominent grassy aromas. Creamy texture on palate - delicious wine. — 3 years ago
Nice, fresh and vibrant Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. Gooseberry (reminded me of growing up on the farm at home) and hints of subdued grapefruit. Beautiful light gold color, crystal clear. Not from Marlborough on the northern end of the South Island but Martinborough on the North Island. Very interesting region that grows all their grapes on a strip of 3-4 miles long and 1-2 miles wide raised tectonic plate of alluvial gravel. Pinot noir is king in this region, but this Sauvignon blanc was also very nice. — 4 years ago
It’s been a few years since my last bottle of this and some extra cellartime has turned out to be beneficial for this one.
Lemonoil, gooseberry, elderflower, succulent pears, chalky stones for minerality. Today, there is a lovely balance in its well-rounded richness and youthful freshness, its sweet and ripe fruit notes and its persistent mineral finish. — 6 months ago
Fresh gooseberry, tropical, passion fruit. Joy :) — a year ago
Light straw color with green highlights. Intense aromas of passion fruit and grapefruit. The pallet is very fruit forward with gooseberry, grapefruit and lemon. Bit of a minerally finish. Crisp acidity. Refreshing. Pretty good (typical) NZ Sauvignon Blanc. — 3 years ago
