Geodesy Eola Springs Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Cristom

Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2024

2024 Vintage. Vibrant ruby red in color. Pleasant aromas of fruit and spice on the nose with subtle earthy tones. Cherry, vanilla, and spice on the palate, very soft tannins with a smooth finish. Phenomenal Willamette Pinot for the price. Would enjoy again. — 12 days ago

This was nice, very drinkable, crowd pleaser. Berry fruit, minerals, hint of forest, but overall fruit forward. — 2 months ago

Seven Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir 1998

This 1998 7 Springs Pinot seems mature, supple, candied red fruits, nice balance, good length, but not quite a typically-excellent bottle of this wine. — 3 months ago

Jessie James Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023

Lyle Fass
9.5

A profoundly backward Jessie James that took a strange, winding path over several days. Initially reduced and giving maybe 10%, with matchstick, damson, sour and mid-season cherry, mineral and very little aromatic expression. The palate was completely discombobulated at first, but the material was obvious: beautiful velvety tannins, tiny-berry fruit intensity, tremendous depth and an extraordinarily long, persistent finish. After about ninety minutes it briefly opened into something spectacular, with deep, voluminous perfume, sweet and sour cherries, mossy minerality and exotic spice, the nose easily operating at a 9.7 level. Then it closed again, the tannins took over and both nose and palate retreated. Two days later it is much more composed, silky and elegant, with pure red fruit, sour cherry and beautifully refined tannins. Very good, serious and clearly built to age, but not at the level of the great 2021 or 2022 Jessie James. — a month ago

Opens up with juicy plums, cherries and apples. The acidity carries through but is tempered by an undercurrent of wood and smoke. Easy to drink and elegant. — 2 months ago

A very enjoyable off the shelf back vintage here. Nothing terribly complex, but balance point has held up wonderfully after a decade in the bottle. — 2 years ago

Antica Terra

Antikythera Pinot Noir

Nose - Plum, candied orange, peat moss and wood. Mouthfeel - Velvety smooth up front, ending in a subtle pleasant astringency. Main flavors - Stone fruit and earth with a delicate acidic ending with a touch of dryness, like you get when you lick the pit of a nectarine, peach or plum. Overall - a gorgeously complex and lovely Pinot!! 1 million out of 10! — a month ago

Eileen Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2025

Yum. Just delicious. Served it with ribeyes cooked sous vide and finished on the grill, and roasted gnocchi and mushrooms. The wine’s silky tannins and fresh red cherry sat naturally with the earthy minerality of the roasted mushrooms, while the wine’s acidity stayed bright enough to cut through the gnocchi’s richness without claiming the stage. In its early window, the Pinot was all finesse and poise, letting the steak and vegetables breathe rather than dominating — 2 months ago

Estate Eola - Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2023

PnP. Raspberry, cranberry, plums, and dried herbs on the nose. On the palate, the same flavors come through, and with time in the glass, florals and cardamom with underlying hints of cloves and allspice emerge. Nice finish, with the floral and cardamom flavors lingering. Overall really tasty, but required time in the glass to open up. Probably would benefit from a short decant. — 2 months ago

Jessie Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2014

We had this and Louise for an in house vertical. Both had a great mouthfeel. Both had black cherry, black raspberry and a cherry liqueur feel. Jessie was just a little lighter in flavor. Both were better now than when I had them 6 years ago. Medium bodied, fruit forward. — 10 months ago
