A turning point vintage for the Domaine. I don’t think anyone faired better. 2013 Perrieres while still young, is in an amazing spot, showing both richness and energy wafting spiced ripe yellow fruit, pastry cream and white flowers layered in stony minerality. The palate is full and expansive with fabulous density, focus, balanced acids and a long finish. White burg at its finest…And now these Diam corks (which began in this vintage) give aging Lafon peace of mind 😅 — 2 months ago
Beautiful, purple-red, well balanced somewhat young, very nice in a couple years — 24 days ago
Decanted separately two bottles for Christmas lunch
Took time to open and second showed benefit of longer time to open with notes of wood with earth, cassis, black cherry and a hint of earthy floor. Showed excellent performance and flavours that also possessed benefit of cellaring and results in tremendous length and finish.
Top notch and likely will develop further — 2 months ago
Epic vintage that is just starting to open up. Accessible but a lot more complexity should develop with time, based on the secondary characteristics that started to show with air — 3 months ago
Dried redfruit aromas, cigar box, this seems mature, still shows lovely acidity which keeps it fresh, long finish, solid St. Emilion! — a month ago
Sweet, vanilla and honey, great desert wine. — 2 months ago
